WHO WE ARE.
We have not figured out how to retire, but we are working on it. The first commandment with a promise is found in Exodus 20:12 (ESV) “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.” Since both our parents have passed long ago, we would like our children and grandchildren to know that our parents loved them without seeing them, and planned for their future. They deserve to be honored. It is our hope our home in Costa Rica might encourage them toward a life of honoring others, and that they might enjoy the promise of long days.
Vacations always seem to be too fast. While you visit our home, we hope you might enjoy every day there as a ‘long day’ on a long vacation to enjoy the beauty of the sea, the mountains, the jungle, and the wildlife in the area (including the turtles, of course!). And, that the beauty and awe of God’s creation might draw you closer to realizing who God is and who you are in light of his love, glory, and power.
